Saudi Quality Mark (SQM)
Obtaining SQM requires the product to comply with Saudi standards and the existence of an effective quality management system at the facility producing the product. After fulfilling these requirements, SASO grants the facility a license to use SQM with a validity of three years. SQM is mandatory implemented on a list of consumer products, these products shall obtain a license to use SQM, and accordingly this mark shall be placed on each licensed product before shipping to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
SQM can also be obtained optionally for the rest of consumer products, provided that they are under the scope of the Saudi standards.
